The Austrian Study Grant Authority (Studienbeihilfenbehörde) provides a supplementary grant to recipients of study grants for study mobilities lasting 1 to 20 months.
Scholarship type: Program description: This is an additional support for grant recipients undertaking a study period abroad for 1 to 20 months.
Eligibility requires receiving a study grant.
Since the academic year 2019/2020, recipients of study grants participating in ERASMUS+ study mobilities abroad can receive the full ERASMUS+ grant in addition to the Financial Aid for Studies Abroad (rather than just compensatory payment).
Amount/Benefits: Monthly support: €160 or €276 for mobility to France, depending on the grant category of the recipient.
Travel expense support: €197 for mobility to France.
Duration: Minimum: 1 month
Maximum: 20 months
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
Age: Age criteria for receiving the need-based study grant (Studienbeihilfe):
Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) must be started before the age of 33.
Master's degree or combined master-doctoral program must be started before the age of 38.
The reference date is the beginning of each semester.
Additional conditions: Eligibility: Only students already receiving a study grant (Studienbeihilfe) are eligible for this financial aid for studies abroad.
